N.Y.L.A. Entertainment Group Announces $5000 in Music Promotion Grants Available to Record Labels, Artists

In a time where music sales are suffering and independent artists face larger obstacles to breaking into the music industry, N.Y.L.A. Entertainment Group is making available $5,000 in music promotion grants available to record labels and artists. The grant is not actual funds received but is used only towards in-house music promotion and/or marketing services including: record label consulting; music servicing to DJs, tastemakers, & record pools; marketing plans; project management; and select PR services.

Apply below by 11:59 pm June 16, 2008. Only completed applications will be considered. All applications received by the deadline will be notified of their acceptance or denial status by July 16, 2008. Only 1-3 record labels/artists will be awarded the grant based on need and project viability. The total grant amount will be divided among the awarded receipients based on need with the total value of the services provided not to exceed $5,000. All others who have applied but have been denied will receive a 50% discount on the same services. Please read the terms and conditions below in its entirety.

PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING TERMS & CONDITIONS OF THIS GRANT BEFORE SUBMITTING YOUR APPLICATION.

1) Your submission of this application acknowledges that you have thoroughly read and completely understand and agree with the terms & conditions of this music promotions grant.

2) All record labels/artists and contact persons applying for this grant certify that they are authorized to apply on behalf of their label/artist.

3) Application procedures:
-- Record labels/artists must submit a complete application including a detailed description of the music promotion project plan by 11:59 pm on Monday, June 16, 2008 in order to be considered to receive our in-house music promotion grant.
-- Notification from N.Y.L.A. Entertainment Group regarding grant approval or denial will be e-mailed to the applicant by Wednesday, July 16, 2008. Awarded record labels/artists will be selected based on our ability to serve their particular project needs and their viability.
-- The value of the grant provided by N.Y.L.A. Entertainment Group will be indicated in the approval notification email and/or letter provided to the applicant.
-- Between 1-3 record labels/artists will be awarded the music promotions grant based on the aggregate value of the grants awarded with the total value of the grants awarded not to exceed $5,000. Award values shall be based on current music promotion market rates.
-- The term for the services provided will last between 1-3 months depending on the project's particular needs and timeline as well as the number of other record labels/artists awarded the grant.
-- For accounting purposes, the awarded record labels/artists will receive a monthly invoice in the amount of the value of the services provided indicating no payment due.
-- This music promotion grant is not valid to current or former clients of N.Y.L.A. Entertainment Group.

4) Services will be provided based on need and/or areas of improvement, but may also be limited to the following services: record label consulting, project management, music servicing, marketing plan, press kit development, press releases, and/or web design. All other services requested/required by the record label/artist will be charged at a discounted rate of 50%.

5) Awarded record labels/artists agree that the music promotions grant only covers in-house services provided directly by N.Y.L.A. Entertainment Group. All other costs of performing the services (i.e. printing, mailing, graphic design, advertising costs, etc.) must be paid in advance by the record label/artist prior to implementation of the services provided under this grant.

6) Of those record labels/artists denied the music promotions grant, our services will be made available at a discounted price of 50% of the project's cost to provide the services.
